I was saddened by that. as a child of the 80s, I saw Mr. Miyagi as a benevolent figure of patience and wisdom. it was easy to see how he could inspire the young ralph macchio (who looks so different now that he's barely recognizable, btw).

funny, the only thing he thought him was how to clean something thoroughly! hehehe! the only kung-fu thing he really thought was that kick!
